How licences stay in good standing
Exploration licences are kept in good standing by completing assessment work and renewing before the good-to date.
When lapsed ground reopens
Under the Mineral Resources Regulations, an application for the area of an expired exploration licence may not be made before 10:00 AM on the day after the expiry date. Some land is restricted or conditional.
